In Puerto Rico the rehabilitation services benefit 2.000 patients a year

In its 62 years of life Puerto Rico SER has assisted more than 200.00 disable people

The Puerto Rican Education and Rehabilitation Society (SER) that became an Oritel member in the year 2011 and that was the last country to join the Organization, at present provides assistance to aproximatelly 2.000 patients a year.

Thus was reported by the Puerto Rico SER president, Miss Nilda Morales during the Telethon funds raising progamme that was held on May 20th 2012  and that turned out to be a complete success being the expected goal reached.

Miss Morales also noticed that more than 10.000 families had been benefited with training services, support and counseling. She expressed:”They have received lengthy, individual assistance aimed at obtaining tangible results”.

In its 62 years of life Puerto Rico SER has assisted more than 200.00 disable people and autistics from all over the island coming from different socio-economic sectors.

The mission of SER is to provide extraordinary services to make it possible for disable and autistic people and their families to have equal opportunities in life, education, work and enjoyment within their own communities.

SER provides medical assistance according to the physical needs and the development capacity of each patient, having a complete education and rehabilitation programmed in the areas of: social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech and language therapy.
